Biography
Ashley is a licensed social worker with nearly a decade of experience working in Detroit at the intersection of health and housing. She worked for the City of Detroit and State of Michigan lead programs for three years before transitioning to leading a team of 12 case managers and community health workers in Detroit providing wrap-around case management services in response to the COVID 19 pandemic. She is now in her fourth year with Green & Healthy Homes Initiative as manager of their Detroit work. Ashley co-leads two work groups for the City of Detroit, championing complex case coordination and ensuring best practices are documented and shared throughout the home repair ecosystem. Ashley and her husband are avid campers and backpackers and have hiked over 5,000 miles together including the entirety of the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada, and the West Highland Way through Scotland.
