Biography
Kara Hollins, MPH is a Research Associate in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her work centers on advancing health equity through community-based research, workforce development, and policy-informed evaluation, with a focus on Community Health Workers and underserved populations across Kansas. Kara specializes in designing and implementing mixed-methods evaluations, translating data into actionable insights for health systems, community partners, and policymakers. She has led and supported statewide initiatives focused on workforce assessment, care coordination, access to care, and regularly contributes to program evaluation and applied research efforts. She holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Kansas Medical Center and a Certificate in Biostatistical Applications. Her additional training in qualitative methods, policy analysis, and participatory approaches supports her work in community-engaged research and facilitation.
