Leonard Powell

Biography

Leonard Powel is an elected Tribal Council Member for the Hopland Band of Pomo Indians in Mendocino County. He is the Tribe’s designated Building Official and brings more than three decades of experience at the intersection of housing safety, environmental health, and governance. He is a CACEO*-certified Lifetime Code Enforcement Officer, an ICC-certified Building Inspector, and a former member of the International Code Council Exam Development Committee, and has spent decades designing, implementing, and teaching building and housing safety programs for local, regional, and statewide agencies across California.
